Electro-Acupuncture – The use of small electrical currents through acupuncture needles, electro-acupuncture has been proven to decrease pain, accelerate tissue healing, and significantly reduce inflammation, edema and swelling. Herbal Medicine – Chinese herbal medicine consists of blending individual Chinese herbs into formulas. Moxibustion- Moxibustion is the process of burning an herb called mugwort over specific acupuncture points. Used to prevent illness and increase vitality Moxa has unique healing properties that warm, increase circulation, and alleviate pain. Cupping – Cupping is a technique where a glass cup or a bamboo jar is suctioned onto the body and allowed to sit for up to 10 minutes or gently moved over a surface. This technique stimulates circulation, reduces pain and swelling and relieves the symptoms of the common cold and asthma. Tui na – Tui na is the traditional system of Chinese massage used in conjunction with acupuncture treatments in a variety of muscular skeletal conditions. |
